Nasdaq

The Nasdaq (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation) market was launched on February 5, 1971. It operates an automatic price formation system for over 2,500 companies traded on the over-the-counter market in the United States.

Over 4,000 companies choose to list on Nasdaq’s U.S., Nordic, and Baltic exchanges, representing industries such as retail, health care, finance, and technology. In the U.S., Nasdaq is the listing venue of choice for many of the world’s most innovative companies.

The NASDAQ exchange is the second largest stock exchange in the United States and boasts the highest hourly trading volume in the world.

Additionally, NASDAQ operates as an over-the-counter stock trading market and comprises three markets.

01
Global Select Market

02

03
Capital Market
